About
I'm a GIS professional based in Kingston, Jamaica, with over five years of hands-on geospatial experience and a background in geoscience. My work sits at the intersection of GIS, disaster risk management, and environmental monitoring.
I spent four years as a GIS Technician at the Caribbean Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, processing satellite imagery (NDVI, SAVI, EVI, and SAR) with Google Earth Engine and Python, building watershed and DEM databases, and serving spatial data through Geoserver and Django. Earlier I worked on utility asset mapping at Barbados Light & Power and supported emergency-management projects with NEMO and CDEMA.
I'm currently completing an MSc in Natural Resource Management with a specialization in Disaster Risk Management at the University of the West Indies, and I hold a BSc in Geoscience. My certifications include CompTIA Security+, Applied GIS & Remote Sensing (LICJ), and project management training, with Esri technical certification in progress.
I'm interested in using geospatial technology, remote sensing, and AI to build climate and disaster resilience across the Caribbean. This site is where my projects and writing live.
